Itinerary
1Crossing to Cairnryan and arrival in Dumfries+
Depart from your local pick-up point by executive coach and travel to Belfast. After a lunchtime stop in Newry, board the Stena ferry for the two-hour crossing to Cairnryan. Enjoy a scenic drive through the unspoiled Scottish Border countryside to reach the town of Dumfries. Settle into the Cairndale Hotel, your base for the next four nights, and enjoy your first group dinner.
2Full day excursion to Edinburgh+
After a hearty breakfast, take a mountain drive to Edinburgh, widely regarded as one of Europe's most beautiful capital cities. Spend the day exploring at your own pace, perhaps visiting the historic Edinburgh Castle or walking the Royal Mile to soak up the atmosphere. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and relaxation.
3Visiting Lake Windermere on our Scotland Lake District tour+
Cross the border into England to explore the stunning Lake District. Stop at Lake Windermere, the largest lake in the region, where you can browse the local shops or take an optional boat trip on the water. After a lunchtime stop in the coastal town of Stranraer, catch the afternoon ferry from Cairnryan back to Belfast.
